If what you were doing was easy, hundreds of people would be playing football for the Lions, but NO, we are 26. We are the elite athletes of the school. While other people were “chilling” with their friends, smoking, drinking, staying up to the wee hours of the morning partying, you were giving your heart to the field, to US, to the TEAM. You worked through pouring rain, and blistering sun, temperatures so cold the water in your bottles froze, and heat so intense you could wring out your tee-shirts and sweat would not trickle, but rush out. I sometimes feel like i don’t congratulate you enough. We brought this program, which three years ago they though was going to fail, make the BB league at best, and we worked, and worked, so that in three years, we brought ourselves up to the AA league! And before we go onto that field, i want you all to know that even should we loose, it’s not the end that is important. It is the journey.
